Ticket for the cure

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women.  A women’s chance of surviving breast cancer is greatly improved with early detection and treatment.  You owe it to family, your friends, and to yourself to do all you can to stay informed and have screenings on time.  East Side Health District provides education and awareness to all women on the importance of mammograms and monthly self testing.  Our Health Educator speaks to women’s groups, church organizations, school faculties or any organization or individual who would like to have more information on breast health or who may need additional resources or referrals for mammograms.  Many women may qualify for a free breast and/or cervical exam.   This project is sponsored by the Illinois Department of Public Health- Office of Women’s Health.
